The Hutt St Centre is more than just a refuge. It’s a place of connection, compassion, and hope where people facing challenging times are empowered to rebuild their lives, rediscover their identities, and reconnect with those who care.
Their mission goes far beyond providing a warm meal. They walk alongside people, lifting them up and offering the tools, resources, and support needed to restore dignity, stability, and self-worth. Through education, guidance, and a supportive environment, they help people take the first steps toward a safe place to call home.

Our $20,000 donation target to the Hutt Street Centre will provide significant support for people experiencing homelessness.
It can provide:
Food Security
$5,000 can provide roughly 2,500 hot meals
Health and Hygiene
$5,000 can provide over 60 people, 3 months of access to showers, laundry, and lockers
Social Inclusion
$5,000 means over 85 people could attend weekly social connection programs to rebuild confidence and wellbeing
Education and Training
$5,000 allows nearly 18 people to receive 8‑week training sessions to gain employment skills
This cause is deeply personal to me. In their later years, my parents volunteered at Hutt St, doing what they could in their own small way. Supporting the Hutt St Centre continues that spirit of care and decency.
